孤高のラッパー〝 KOJOE 〟と新進気鋭のビートメイカー〝 NARISK 〟が、ウィルチェアーラグビー日本代表応援ソング「GOLD」を7/23?にリリース。
「パラスポーツ」の発展と魅力を発信する＜GOLD PROJECT＞に賛同した二人が、実際にウェルチェアーラグビーを体感し選手たちとの交流からこの楽曲が生まれた。
Murder Ball（殺人球技）と呼ばれるウェルチェアーラグビー。
危険と隣り合わせのスポーツと真剣に向き合う選手たちの熱き想いを、KOJOEとNARISKが「言葉」と「音」に魂を込める。
楽曲名でもありプロジェクトの名称でもある〝 GOLD 〟は、それぞれのGOLDを目指し輝いてほしいという願いが込められている。
BLAT WORKSのCOTA ONOが手掛けたミュージックビデオでは、
実際に競技用の車いすに乗り選手たちと共に競技を体感するKOJOEの姿が収められている。
GOLDプロジェクトは全てのパラスポーツを応援しています。
＜GOLD PROJECTとは＞
リハビリテーション科医師・田中慎一郎を中心とした、〝 パラスポーツ 〟を音楽と映像の力で盛り上げるプロジェクト。
プロジェクトに共感したアーティストに各パラスポーツをイメージした楽曲とPVを制作してもらい、楽曲・PVを配信することでパラスポーツの認知度を高める。
＜ ウィルチェアーラグビーとは＞
ウィルチェアーラグビーは、別名Murder Ball（殺人球技）とも呼ばれ、パラスポーツの中で唯一車椅子同士の接触プレーが認められている激しい競技。
この競技の選手として登録されるためには四肢に障がいがないと登録することができない。
すなわち手足どちらにも障がいがある必要があるため、パラスポーツの中でも重度な身体障害者が対象の競技。
また、ウィルチェアーラグビー日本代表は前回のリオパラリンピックで初の銅メダルを獲得し、今回の東京パラリンピックでは金メダル最有力候補とされている。
